Job Description:
- The Executive Director (ED) is the chief executive of the organization and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, operational management, and financial oversight of the Agency.
The Executive Director works closely with the leadership team, clinical staff, and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centered behavioral health services that align with the mission, values, and goals of the organization.

Essential Duties:
- As a member of the executive management team, the Vice President of Operations has primary responsibility for the leadership and administration of the budget, management plan, programs, and services of the Agency.
Clearly articulates a vision of organizational success. Collaborates with others to understand current and future business needs, and recommend strategies to achieve sustained organizational success. Assures development of measurable business goals, objectives and performance expectations that are consistent with corporate strategies, desired outcomes, operating principles and priorities. Assures appropriate organizational structure, functioning, staffing, skills development, and performance measurement. Delegates responsibility, authority and decision-making effectively. Uses data, information, process analyses and industry knowledge to set priorities, make operational recommendations and decisions, and measure results. Contributes to development and implementation of organizational succession plans, including, but not limited to, mentoring and developing the skills and abilities of key leadership. Assures that the organizations business processes have sufficient human, financial and technological resources to achieve corporate goals and objectives, while demonstrating good judgment and fiscal restraint. Contributes effectively to comprehensive business planning and priority setting through collaboration with others, demonstrates and enforces a discipline of continuous process improvement. Assures sound budget development and management. Reviews operating and financial results with appropriate personnel to analyze and address significant variances. Works with management to identify and arrange for staff training needs. Oversees key corporate projects that require integration across multiple areas. Achieves operating results that meet or exceed the expectations of service recipients, and are compliant with all applicable laws, rules, contracts, and regulations. Serves as a member of the Executive Staff, sharing responsibility for and contributing to corporate policy formation, strategic direction, high-level priority setting and decision making, achievement of corporate goals, and overall leadership of the organization. Knowledge of management principles and practices, including process and quality improvement methods. Acts as primary individual responsible for strategic cost reductions and expense management for the Agency. Prepares reports, collects and analyzes information to present to Executive Leadership. Prepares and files of corporate legal documents with government agencies to conform to statutes. Manages Division of Disabilities, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services renewal contracts and contract modifications. Ensures integrity of financial analyses and assumes responsibility for appropriate internal controls impacting costing of services and relative to budgeting and capital budgeting.

Qualifications:
- The employee must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training and essential duties to include the following; but not limited to:
- Initial Preventing Abuse and Neglect with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter.
- The employee shall be 18 years of age or older and possess a driver’s license valid in the State of New Jersey (probational licenses are not accepted).
- The employee must submit to a criminal background check, and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals.
- The employee must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
- All employees shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI);
- All employees must demonstrate successful completion of a Pre-employment physical; Pre-employment tuberculosis test as required by The State of New Jersey Department of Human Services.
- The employees hired after 6/15/2018 shall submit to drug testing prior to employment.
- Clearance based on a 3-year and annual motor vehicle abstract assessment.
