Designed to promote a collaborative environment, Gates Vascular Institute brings the brightest medical minds together on behalf of the patients of Western New York and beyond. The President of Buffalo General Medical Center (BGMC) & Gates Vascular Institute (GVI) is the key leader responsible for the overall success and well-being of the hospital and its patients. The President will partner with Kaleida leaders to advance strategies to grow services and revenues, improve operations and efficiencies, reduce costs, and ensure alignment with Kaleida Health strategic goals, mission and vision. The President is the spokesperson for BGMC/GVI and will focus on continuing to advance its position in the greater Buffalo communities and beyond. The President will also serve as an SVP of Kaleida Health and will have system accountability. The President will partner with Kaleida executives to further the integrate services and programs across the system. The President ensures a high reliability culture with outstanding quality patient care, and exceptional patient experience. The President reports directly to Kaleida Health’s Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Education and Credentials Bachelor of Science degree in healthcare administration, business, medical, legal, finance, public health, or a comparable discipline required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience 10 years of experience in Leadership experience in a hospital and/or healthcare delivery system with both inpatient and outpatient services. Understands how to best impact regional care through enhancing services and promoting ‘systemness’ across the community. Hospital leadership experience within a union environment preferred.

$549,000.00 – $649,000.00 Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate’s experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
