Assistant Vice President IT-Insurance
A leading insurance provider is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Information Technology to lead IT strategy, application systems, and project delivery across the organization. This is an on-site leadership role focused on aligning technology initiatives with core business functions including underwriting, claims, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive IT strategy in alignment with business goals across underwriting, claims, and compliance
• Lead and mentor IT leaders, including Directors of Business Systems and Business Analysis
• Oversee enterprise projects from scoping to implementation, ensuring stakeholder alignment
• Develop and manage departmental goals, budgets, and resource planning
• Ensure systems meet insurance regulatory and operational standards
• Serve as a key member of the senior management team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance operations
• 5+ years in IT leadership with direct supervision of technical and business teams
• Strong understanding of insurance systems, regulatory frameworks, and data workflows
• 5+ years of project management experience, including hands-on work with PM tools (Microsoft Project, Visio, etc.)
• Proven success managing cross-functional technology initiatives in a business setting
• Experience with systems design, development, and integration across business units
• Solid grasp of IT governance, budgeting, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Must be local to the Great Neck, NY and available to work on-site Monday-Friday
