Job Description
Job DescriptionThe Executive Director of the New York City Fire Pension Fund seeks a Chief of Staff. Reporting directly to the Executive Director or his/her designee. The successful candidate will
- Manage, assess and improve the performance of daily operations of the Fund
- Oversee the management of the Fund’s administrative functions, ie. Human Resources, Budget & Finance, IT, etc. to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations
- Serves as the Fund’s EEO Officer
- Serve as liaison with oversight agencies and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure proper completion and efficient recording of all reports and filings required of the Fund
- Review the services and information provided to the members of the Fund, identify deficiencies and propose improvements
- Oversee, address and remedy labor performance issues as required in accordance with applicable rules, laws, and contracts
- Serve as the Director of General Services responsible for resolving issues related to the Fund’s office space
- Oversee the assignment of staff and resources to improve the function and efficiency of the Fund
- Evaluate office conditions and lead repair and rehabilitation projects, including managing bids from preparation to completion
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Executive Director or their designee.

- 95022Qualifications1) 60 college credits from an accredited college;2) Five years of full-time professional experience in executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory roles relating to business, finance, or pensions;3) A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to “1”and/or “2” above.
However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s department of education or recognized accrediting organization and must possess at least five years of experience as described in “2” above, including 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience.
