At Moonshot AI , that’s the future we’re building—and as Chief of Staff to our CTO , you’ll help make it real by scaling the operating system behind our engineering and product org. We’re looking for a strategic operator, systems thinker, and right hand to our CTO. This isn’t an internal comms or admin role—this is a front-row seat to scaling a high-growth AI company, where you’ll own initiatives that increase velocity, improve alignment, and multiply the impact of our technical team. What You’ll Achieve You’ll work side-by-side with the CTO to make sure our technical engine runs at full throttle. From streamlining team rituals and hiring processes to driving critical projects across engineering, product, and client success—you’ll bring clarity and momentum to everything we build.
You Will Also:
Partner with the CTO to manage priorities, track execution, and ensure alignment across all technical functions. Drive planning, team cadences, OKRs, and sprint rituals—ensuring we’re focused and delivering. Translate strategic initiatives into detailed action plans and hold cross-functional teams accountable. Own internal operations for the tech org, including hiring pipelines, onboarding, vendor coordination, and internal tooling. Act as a communication bridge between engineering and the rest of the company (product, sales, and client teams). Represent the CTO in meetings as needed, and follow through on critical decisions. Lead special projects (technical, operational, or client-facing) with high visibility and impact. Help build and maintain a high-performance, low-ego, mission-driven culture. You’ve worked closely with product or engineering leaders before and know how to keep technical teams aligned, focused, and fast.
Must-Haves:
3-6 years in high-performance environments (e.g. startups, consulting, product ops, VC, or engineering teams). Strong understanding of software development, product building, and technical workflows. Experience managing cross-functional projects or working directly with senior leadership. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable balancing strategy, operations, and tactical execution. Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguity and make things happen.
Extra Points For:
Prior experience as Chief of Staff, BizOps, Product Ops, or similar at a tech company. Hands-on technical background (engineering, product management, or data). Experience scaling teams or building internal systems at a fast-growing startup. Passion for AI and excitement about shaping how it gets built and deployed. Compensation & Logistics Base salary: $130,000-$160,000 depending on experience
