Assistant Manager The Kitchen @ The Shack 83 Narragansett Avenue, Narragansett, RI 02882 Overview We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team at The Surf Shack. In this role, you will support the Dining Room Manager in overseeing operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for retail management, with a focus on inventory control and sales management. Our ideal candidate will be working Friday and Sunday nights with flexibility to work additional shifts as needed. Responsibilities Assist in managing store operations to achieve sales targets with servers and bartenders. Educate servers/bartenders on ways to enhance customer satisfaction. Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering, and merchandising to ensure optimal product availability. Train, mentor, and supervise staff to foster a positive work environment and ensure adherence to company policies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and employee performance metrics. Requirements Proven experience in management or a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of sales management techniques and inventory control practices. Proficiency in math to analyze data effectively. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing store operations. Ability to lead by example and motivate team members towards achieving common goals. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and staff alike. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
