Please note, this position is designed to start in June, as our current kennel manager will resign after over a decade with us in July.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of kennel staff, ensuring the well-being and care of all animals in our facility, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. This is a full-time position requiring a passion for animal care and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kennel staff, including feeding, cleaning, exercising, and grooming animals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all pets in the facility. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Oversee inventory management of pet supplies and ensure adequate stock levels. Train new staff members on proper animal handling techniques and facility procedures. Interact with pet owners to address any questions or concerns, providing excellent customer service.

Skills:

Demonstrated experience in animal handling and care, preferably in a veterinary setting. Knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service. Proficiency in pet grooming techniques is advantageous. Previous experience in pet sitting or kennel management is preferred. An ideal candidate will have prior staff management experience.

Compensation:
