Top Choice Plumbing, a leading commercial plumbing service company proudly serving the state of South Carolina, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations and join the company’s expansion efforts. As we open three additional locations across the southeast, we need a dynamic, strategic, and experienced leader to ensure operational excellence, drive growth, and maintain our high standards of customer satisfaction. The General Manager will play a key role in managing the North Charleston location, optimizing efficiency, leading teams, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management :

Lead and manage the North Charleston location of Top Choice Plumbing, ensuring smooth operations, strong team collaboration, and a positive work environment. Provide direct oversight and support to branch managers, field technicians, customer service staff, and office personnel. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous development by mentoring, coaching, and evaluating team performance.

Operational Oversight :

Oversee all daily operations, including scheduling, dispatching, inventory management, and job execution, ensuring quality and efficiency at all locations. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. Monitor and enforce safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and plumbing industry standards to maintain high levels of safety and quality across all job sites.

Financial Management :

Develop, manage, and oversee budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control across all locations. Track key financial metrics, including P&L, and make adjustments as necessary to meet financial targets and ensure growth. Review and approve pricing for large commercial projects and service contracts, ensuring competitive yet profitable pricing strategies. Expansion & Growth Lead and work with the COO in the expansion efforts at the North Charleston Top Choice Plumbing location in South Carolina, managing all aspects of this process, including staffing, facility setup, and operational integration. Collaborate with executive leadership CEO and COO to define and execute growth strategies, expanding service areas, and increasing market share. Ensure seamless integration of new technicians into the existing company infrastructure, aligning operations and maintaining consistent service quality.

Customer Relations & Business Development :

Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial clients, ensuring satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term partnerships. Develop and implement strategies for new customer acquisition and market expansion to increase revenue across all service areas. Address customer issues or complaints in a timely and effective manner, maintaining high standards of customer service.

Compliance & Reporting :

Ensure all locations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including plumbing codes, safety standards, and environmental laws. Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), financials, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations, ensuring that Top Choice Plumbing remains compliant and competitive.

Qualifications:
Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).

Experience :

5+ years of management experience, ideally in the plumbing, construction, or service industry. Proven success in managing full scale operations, including financial oversight, budgeting, and growth management. Experience in project management and leading large teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong background in commercial plumbing, service management, or related fields is a plus.

Skills :

Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and reporting minimum of $5 million gross revenue. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with your teams, clients, and leadership. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and service management software (e.g., ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Service Channel, Microsoft Field Operations, 365 Dynamics). Knowledge of South Carolina plumbing regulations and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience overseeing the opening and operation of new locations or branches. A background in sales, marketing, and business development to drive new business and revenue growth. Experience managing a high-volume service-based business.
