We are looking for a Center Director that will ensure the smooth operation of the Center. They will always ensure that standards as set forth for children and teacher/group size ratios are maintained in accordance with child-care licensing regulations. The Center Director’s role includes but are not limited to staff supervision; health and safety program maintenance; parent-teacher involvement; community and public relations; supply and petty cash management; center policies/procedures and record administration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with state and federal childcare regulations. Review and implement administrative policies as required. Lead staffing efforts, including job fairs, recruitment, and forecasting hiring needs. Monitor the facility budget and implement cost control strategies. Collaborate with sales to meet monthly enrollment targets. Proactively plan staff schedules for efficiency. Complete staff program monitoring, behavior management, and reviews. Plan and conduct regular staff meetings. Foster good relationships among staff and assist with problem resolution. Assume various roles as needed (e.g., Teacher, Assistant, Chef, Bus Driver, etc). Ensure the health and safety of children and staff. Review room requirements and adhere to room budgets. Liaise with licensing, public health, and fire department representatives. Conduct tours, enrollment interviews, and ensure parents understand the facility policies. Communicate actively with parents through various channels. Meet regularly with the Area Director for decision-making and management consistency. Meet with the Regional Director at least once weekly and having daily telephonic contact for discussion, decision-making and in presenting a consistent management approach for all issues Perform other duties as required. We want energetic, kind, dependable, and passionate individuals who have the following: Minimum 3 years of experience in Preschool Director role. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with at least: 12 hours of early childhood education course work Level III Administrator as recognized by the DCDEE or working towards it with Level II 3 units in administration, leadership or staff relations Current background check or be willing to obtain. Familiarity with and strict adherence to Childcare licensing standards and regulations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day operations with staffing ratios, ensuring completion of various classroom checklists and children’s developmental screening.
WORKING CONDITIONS

) Moderate to high level of on-going interactions and communication with staff, children and or families. Need to be proactively attentive to all operations, including answering phone call, responding to email, covering for staff ratios/breaks, etc. Extended periods of stationary work (ex. computer use) with moderate work interruptions.
