Executive Director The Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County 119 A Street, Lenoir City, TN 37771 Job Summary The Executive Director is the chief staff officer of the Good Samaritan Center (GSC). Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Director implements the Center’s mission, strategic goals and annual objective while modeling compassionate, ethical leadership. Duties Serve as primary liaison between staff and Board; prepare agendas, reports, and recommendations. Advise and inform Board members on operations, risk, and community trends. Support Board self-assessment and annual evaluation of the Executive Director. Translate Board approved strategy into actionable goals, timelines, and metrics. Work with key stakeholders to ensure delivery and quality of all programs/services. Review and approve the annual operating budget as prepared by the head of the finance department; monitor cash flow and financial controls. Coordinate with finance personnel, CPA firm, and independent auditors to ensure GAAP compliance. Work with pantry manager and other leaders to safeguard physical assets and oversee maintenance of GSC facilities. Oversee and participate in recruitment, supervision, coaching, and evaluations of staff( Client Service Managers, Pantry Manager, finance personnel,) Work with the volunteer managers to foster an inclusive culture 250 active volunteers; provide orientation and recognition. Maintain personnel policies that conform to all applicable laws and best practices. Maintain and enhance funding to the GSC (grants, major gifts, special events, digital campaigns). Research prospects, craft proposals, and steward relationships with donors, churches, businesses, and foundations. Lead signature fundraising projects. Represent GSC at civic, faith-based, and nonprofit coalitions; nurture strategic partnerships. Manage all media channels – website, newsletters, press releases, and social platforms – to ensure a consistent, positive public image. Coordinate community outreach initiatives that expand awareness and volunteer engagement. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (501(c)(3) reporting, food safety, employment law, etc. Develop and update policies on confidentiality, data security, and workplace safety. Perform additional tasks as direct4ed by th4e Board of Directors to advance the Center’s mission.
