Job Purpose
Act as liaison between the VP of Planning and Finance and the organizations and officers which report to the VP or to which the VP reports.

Essential Functions
Act as liaison between the VP of Planning and Finance and the organizations and officers which report to the VP or to which the VP reports. Collect and verify the accuracy of information and data. Communicate the VP’s decisions and interpretations of policies and procedures. Signatory authority for supplies and equipment requisitions, student payroll reports, and direct preparation of office reports. Provide support to the Board of Trustees Audit & Business Committee and the Budget Advisory Committee. Proactively communicate and interact on behalf of the VP. Represent the Business Office on various committees and councils. Maintain VP’s calendar and email. Compose correspondence for VP’s signature. Assume other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with five years of increasingly responsible, relevant work experience, to include at least two years of supervisory duties. Excellent computer skills, to include high proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Positive, affable attitude and self-motivated. Ability to handle and maintain confidential files and information. Ability to interpret and apply University regulations, policies, and accounting processes. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects with varying deadlines. Ability to establish effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and others.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Experience working in Higher Education. Experience with complex ERP systems.
Work Hours:
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Additional hours if/when needed.
Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 13.
