The Memphis VA Medical Center has an opening for a Chief ofRadiology with a dual academic appointment with the University ofTennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). The position reportsdirectly to the Chief of Staff and is responsible for theadministration, management, and leadership of the entire DiagnosticImaging Department. This position serves as an extension of theChief of Staff and serves as a backup in the absence. The MedicalCenter consists of one main campus and ten community-basedoutpatient clinics (CBOCs). It s a 1a complexity tertiary care VAhealthcare system located in one of the fastest growing Veteranpopulation regions in the United States. The facility providescomprehensive care to over 47,000 Veterans in a 52-county area ofWestern Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, and Northeast Arkansas. Itincludes 236 inpatient beds with a 26-bed Spinal Cord Injury Unit.
It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient careservices, with state-of-the-art technology, as well as extensiveeducation and research programs.
