General Manager Sage Freight 8 Cadillac Drive, Brentwood, TN 37027 Job Summary Seeking a dynamic and driven General Manager to lead the Mid-Market Southeast team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a quickly growing team, supporting both customer and carrier operations. This position will play a pivotal role in developing team member skillsets, managing branch performance, driving profitable growth, and ensuring adherence to company core values. Pay dependent on prior experience verified throughout the hiring process. Starting salary plus performance-based bonus. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily customer and carrier operations, ensuring high standards of service, executional accuracy, and alignment with long-term company objectives. Track and assess individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and recognition to drive accountability and results. Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor KPIs, and implement processes within the branch to improve customer experience and to enhance operational efficiencies. Lead regular business reviews with Account Managers to create strategic, trackable goals pertaining to customer growth. Partner with Sales to onboard customer accounts, improve service offerings, and deepen existing customer relationships. Collaborate with internal teams to formulate effective RFP strategies, ensuring competitive pricing in adherence with departmental budgets. Maintain a strong understanding of P&Ls, manage controllable costs, and make data-driven decisions to ensure sustainable profitability. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises Account Managers, Customer Operations Leads and Coordinators, Carrier Managers, Carrier Sales Reps, and Load Tracking Representative.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation, including 3+ years in a leadership or branch management capacity. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop customer-facing and carrier-facing teams. Knowledge of pricing and RFP strategy. Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
