Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for overall project management within the guidelines of the USDE as published in EDGAR
Provide supervision of staff and perform activities required to aplish all stated project objectives.
Assure the maintenance of adequate eligibility documentation on participants and maintainplete records ofpliance with Talent Search regulations
Oversee the accumulation of evaluation data for the Upward Bound project including monthly progress reports and other records of performance.
Work with the Dean of Workforce Development, Institutional Effectiveness, and Advancement in the evaluation of the program.
Serve as liaison officer withmunity agencies and develop a rapport with principals and counselors of area schools to facilitate program success.
Coordinate the recruiting and screening of eligible participants in target schools.
Coordinate program activities to ensure that project objectives are met in accordance to proposed timelines.
Coordinate trips to various college campuses.
Maintain monthly budget and work with the business office to review expenditures.
Coordinate the accumulation of evaluation data of the Talent Search project including monthly progress reports and other records of performance per EDGAR 100a.732
Maintain documentation/reports of participants for program eligibility.
Work with the staff to inform the public of services to recruit and select new Talent Search participants
Serve as an advocate for project graduates seeking admission to postsecondary education programs.
Identify, employ, train, and supervise project personnel as needed.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in education, counseling, social work or related field from an accredited institution, required.
A minimum of three years’ experience working with youth from educationally and financially disadvantage backgrounds, required.
TRIO program experience, preferred. A background similar to the target population, preferred.
(This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is dependent on continued funding.)

SALARY:

Compensation is in accordance with the Alabama Community College System’s Salary Schedule C3-2 ($55,973 – $87,819). Northwest Shoals Community College is an equal opportunity employer.
