Donor Services Associate 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1200 West Montgomery Road, Tuskegee, AL 36088 Position Information Position Title Donor Services Associate Status Full Time Job Summary Tuskegee University seeks a detail-oriented, service-driven professional to serve as the Donor Services Associate — Finance and Stewardship in the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement. Reporting to the Director of Donor Services, this role is responsible for managing financial records, maintaining donor account integrity, and supporting fund stewardship efforts across the university. This position plays a critical liaison role between Development, the Office of Budget and Planning, and Accounting Services, ensuring proper establishment, coding, and compliance of all donor funds. The associate serves as a key user and administrator of Financial Edge NXT—Tuskegee’s cloud-based fund accounting system—and supports the accurate tracking and reporting of gift funds in coordination with Raiser’s Edge NXT and Colleague. Essential Job Duties Gift Fund Establishment & Financial Tracking Complete and submit Private Gift Establishment Forms for all new donor-supported funds in collaboration with development officers and fund beneficiaries. Ensure that all new gift funds are correctly established, coded, and categorized within Financial Edge NXT for reconciliation, reporting, and audit readiness. Coordinate closely with the Office of Budget and Planning and Accounting Services to verify fund setup, budget alignment, and financial workflows. Maintain up-to-date records in Raiser’s Edge NXT and ensure consistency across systems. Stewardship & Donor Reporting Support Assist in preparing and delivering financial and impact reports for endowed, annual, and capital project funds. Monitor donor reporting cycles and ensure timely fulfillment of stewardship obligations. Maintain clear documentation for each fund, including purpose, agreements, use guidelines, and reporting history. System Integration & Compliance Serve as a primary support user of Financial Edge NXT, managing donor fund records and ensuring data integrity. Support internal audits and reviews by maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant records. Collaborate on the integration of Financial Edge NXT, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and Colleague for improved financial coordination. Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 to 3 years of experience in finance, fund accounting, donor data management, nonprofit gift processing, or a related administrative or technical role. Demonstrated ability to work with financial software or databases and manage detailed documentation. Excellent organizational skills, attention to accuracy, and ability to manage confidential information

Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with fundraising or CRIM platforms (e.g., Raiser’s Edge) is a plus. Strong writing, communication, and editing skills with an ability to produce high-quality materials for internal and external audiences. Proven organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
