Job Description

JOB JOB SUMMARY

To implement and ensure compliance with CACFP, Child Development Nutrition Performance Standards and TVCCA Policies/Procedures. Responsible for filing Child and Adult Care Food Program reimbursement claims. Hire/train/supervise/evaluate center Site Servers, monitor centers for compliance to local health department food safety and sanitation requirements. Follow all CT State Department of Education requirements for the filing of the Child and Adult Care Food Program reimbursement claim that provides funds for meals/snacks at Child Development Centers of TVCCA. Supervise food production at childcare centers. The CACFP Manager is under the direction of the Nutrition Services Director and works with the Child Development Nutrition Manager, who provides nutrition assistance to carry out CACFP functions. The Nutrition Manager will act as a liaison between Child Development Centers/Classrooms, Commissary, and the State Department of Education, ensuring compliance with other regulations including but not limited to Head Start, Little Learners, and NAEYC. Provide cover in kitchens as needed. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree in related field with two years related work experience, some of which was supervisory in nature OR an Associate’s Degree plus four years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be or become ServSafe certified. Strong communication and computer skills required.
  • Experience in administrative details, food service and the Child and Adult Care Food Program a plus.

Provide results of current physical (less than 1 year) before or upon hire. Required Experience
