Job Description
Description We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with grant accounting experience to support our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with government or private grants, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and timely reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage financial tracking and reporting for grants and restricted funds + Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses + Ensure compliance with grant terms, applicable regulations, and internal policies + Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and reporting for grant-funded programs + Coordinate with program and development teams to monitor spending and deadlines + Support audits and provide required documentation related to grants Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year of grant accounting + Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) + Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit or fund accounting principles
Preferred:
