Grant Development & Oversight Identify and pursue funding opportunities by preparing high-quality grant proposals to private foundations, corporations, and government entities. Craft persuasive narratives, supporting budgets, and outcome-focused reports aligned with organizational goals and funder priorities. Ensure compliance with all grant guidelines by monitoring deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements. Evaluate and track grant performance metrics to demonstrate impact and foster funder confidence. Maintain meticulous grant records using tracking systems (CRM tools such as Salesforce, FLUXX, etc.) to manage proposals, reporting schedules, and communications. Foster and strengthen relationships with current and prospective grantmakers, including program officers and philanthropic partners. 2. Fundraising Strategy & Donor Relations Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes individual donors, corporate sponsorships, and alternative giving channels. Identify and engage potential corporate supporters, philanthropic foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Manage annual giving campaigns, including direct mail, digital fundraising, giving days, and donor appeals. Lead stewardship initiatives to ensure donor retention and satisfaction through timely communications and impact updates. Organize and execute signature fundraising events such as donor receptions, peer-to-peer initiatives, and galas. Partner with marketing to produce compelling donor materials, sponsorship decks, and fundraising communications. 3. Strategic Alignment & Organizational Reporting Ensure fundraising goals are in alignment with the organization’s broader strategic direction and budgetary targets. Conduct ongoing research to stay abreast of trends in the nonprofit, CDFI, and philanthropic sectors. Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure proper grant fund management, compliance, and audit readiness. Collaborate with internal teams to assess funding priorities and match them to viable opportunities. Deliver regular reports on development progress, donor activity, and key performance indicators to leadership and the Board. Ideal Candidate Profile Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred). At least five years of progressive experience in grant writing and fundraising, with a track record in securing six-figure and multi-year awards. Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, and major gift development. Strong writing abilities and familiarity with data-driven proposal development. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Raiser’s Edge, FLUXX, Salesforce, or comparable systems. Superior project management and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize competing demands, and work with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and mission-driven approach.
