Position Summary The Grant Manager is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing funding from private, local, state, and federal sources. This role involves writing compelling proposals, maintaining compliance and reporting, and fostering strong relationships with funders and key stakeholders. Working closely with the Development Team and other departments, the Grant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting LiFT’s mission and long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities Grant Identification & Strategy Research and identify grant opportunities that align with LiFT’s programs and strategic goals. Build and maintain a comprehensive annual grants calendar. Develop and execute strategies to cultivate funding opportunities through foundations, government entities, and corporations. Evaluate funding requirements and eligibility across various sectors (e.g., curriculum, facilities, professional development). Grant Writing & Submission Prepare and submit compelling letters of intent, proposals, applications, and supporting documentation. Coordinate with internal teams to gather program data, budgets, and other required materials. Ensure proposals are tailored, clear, mission-aligned, and meet all guidelines and deadlines. Grant Management & Reporting Ensure full compliance with all grant requirements, including timelines, outcomes, and documentation. Track grant performance, expenses, and impact in collaboration with Finance and Program teams. Manage grant records and databases, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Prepare and submit timely reports to funders, including narrative and financial documentation. Provide monthly grant updates to the Development Director and, as needed, to the Board of Directors. Collaboration & Community Engagement Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders and philanthropic stakeholders. Represent LiFT in meetings and communications with funders and community partners. Support the Development Team fundraising initiatives and donor communications as needed. Act as a strategic partner in developing long-term funding sustainability plans. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree required 3+ years of experience in nonprofit grant writing and management. Proven success in securing and managing diverse funding sources. Experience working in or with educational or disability-focused organizations is highly desirable. Skills & Attributes Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong research, project management, and organizational skills. Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. High level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and donor/grant management software. Additional Requirements Valid Florida Driver’s License. Successful completion of Level 2 State and Federal Background Screening.

Working Conditions Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, flexible daytime hours (40 hrs/week). Some evenings/weekends may be required.

Work Environment:

Office, shared spaces, school, and community settings. Remote work is permitted, with occasional in-person collaboration required.

Physical Demands:
