Full Job Description Description:

This position oversees SPFC’s grants writing and management. The person in this position secures grants and contracts funding for SPFC, including sourcing new funding and expanding on existing partnerships. Additionally, the person in this role manages the grants administration process, including ensuring grants and contracts compliance and reporting. This position reports to the Chief Community Impact Officer. Supervisory Responsibilities None Position Responsibilities Complete grant applications, work with Program Directors and other key staff for source content; refine all content so that it is responsive to each grant application; and ensure all application requirements are met in the timely submission of grants. Assemble all necessary materials for grant submission, including attachments, budgets, and other collateral. Manage grant preparation and communication for significant funding opportunities that require staff input across departments. Work collaboratively with the finance department to ensure that the creation of grant budgets matches the intent of the application. Review all awarded grants and contracts requirements and create and maintain systems whereby all key staff understand contractual obligations (including reporting, grant acknowledgement, administrative considerations like process for budget revisions, etc.). Manage post-award process, including the execution of documents, assembly of key staff for post-award/grant-kickoff meetings, completion of grant summary sheets, and communications of grant/contract requirements to key staff. Ensure goals for grants and contract revenue are met by managing the acquisition and administration of grant and contract funding. Complete and/or support the completion of timely grant reporting in partnership with Program Directors, members of the finance department, and other key staff. Research opportunities for new grants and contracts funding and make recommendations as to SPFC’s capability to respond to potential opportunities. In collaboration with the Chief Community Impact Officer, maintain communications with funders, keeping funders apprised as necessary and as a courtesy for relationship development purposes; coordinate with contract managers and funder points of contact on systems, required documentation, reporting, and contract modifications. Support internal controls by partnering with the finance department to provide grants and contracts documentation for audits and support billing for contracts as appropriate. Maintain organized records of submitted proposals and current contracts in the donor database. All other duties as assigned. Agency-wide Responsibilities Maintain documentation and records in compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in English, Communications, Public Administration, or related fields. Minimum of three years of demonstrated success in acquiring and administering grants in a nonprofit setting. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
