Job Description:

The Grant Application Coordinator is part of a dynamic team that coordinates and leads the grants and application management activities at our organization. These duties include supporting, coordinating, preparing, and presenting the grant application documentation from initial receipt to close out of the applications associated with Care Fund under the direction of the Funds Program Leader. The Coordinator ensures that all required documentation submittedplies with the nonprofit’s guidelines. The Grant Application Coordinator will also build strong working relationships with employees, the Board of Directors, and other divisions to maintain and expand support. The Coordinator will also support the funds at events with information and assist with increasing donor participation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs research, writes, and prepares grant applications and supporting documentation inpliance with guidelines and deadlines.
Application presentation to the Board of Directors for approval or denial based on internal guidelines each week.
Provides data for reports to outline the progress of grant and application cycles, as required.
Establishes and cultivates good relationships with employees, existing board members, other divisions, and leaders.
Continuously improves the quality of processes and reports in coordination with Program Director, Manager, Program Leader, Treasurer, and HR staff.
Ensures quality of information and data submitted on behalf of The Care Fund.
Maintains a strong understanding of the priorities for the organization and each program area and Scholarship Funds Inc.
Maintains a calendar/application tracking database to ensure the timelypletion of applications and reports.
Leads the development and presenting process for applications, including General Support proposals.
Supports/Coordinates the development ofplex proposals and applications under the direction of and in collaboration with the Program Leader.
Assists with other functions in the Office as assigned by the Director and Funds Manager.
Assist with historical data/information to prepare updates to senior leaders and the board of directors.
Quals–
Multitasker, deadline driven and solutions oriented.
3 to 5 years of work experience with grant and contract coordination, project coordination and evaluation preferred.
Strongmunications skills in writing, speaking, and listening effectively.
Strong customer service skills, ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding applications.
Ability to diffuse emotionally charged situations andmunicate without opinion on personal situations.
Ability to work with business mathematics and budgets.
Ability to work with applicants with empathy and professionalism.
Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills to work with staff at all levels.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Skilled in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, or other similar software programs and using the internet.
Familiar with systems, SAP, Payroll, Employee Data Viewer, ODM, Pass Travel, ESS, or ability to quickly learn.
Must be flexible and able to work extended hours and weekends as needed when catastrophic events occur.
The position requires substantial project and relationship management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
