Responsibilities Reporting to the Director for Grants and Sponsored Programs, the Grants Coordinator will manage all aspects of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education grant and monitor the progress of grant-funded projects to ensure successful implementation in accordance with grant contract terms and agency requirements. Perkins grant management responsibilities include all summative and formative data retrieval and analysis required to support ongoing grant activities and reporting requirements. The position will also formulate all quarterly, annual ad hoc federal and state reports; and be responsible for the timely submission of all information in support of the Perkins grant. Grant monitoring duties include maintaining performance standards, compliance, and an efficient and complete administrative record of all grant activities. Supports grant managers in partnership with the Director and monitors the progress of grant-funded projects to ensure successful implementation in accordance with grant contract terms and agency requirements. This is a full-time, grant-funded 12-month position contingent upon continued funding levels.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external career and technical education stakeholders to conduct, organize, and facilitate the biennial Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) and annual Local Application Plan (LAP).
  • Oversees preparation and monitoring of project reports required by SUSLA and the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) including but not limited to data collection, analysis, and reporting activities related to the Perkins grant.
  • Evaluates project activities, performance measures, and deliverables on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to benchmark progress toward project goals.
  • Administers project budget according to Perkins regulations and SUSLA policies and procedures. Budget responsibilities include, but are not limited to predictive budget analysis, allocation of grant resources, and ensuring budget expenditures align with project scope of activities.
  • Plans and leads internal meetings to support the planning and operations of the project. Participate in LCTCS-sponsored meetings and other professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and enhance Perkins Eligible CTE Programs of Study with clear transitions from secondary to post-secondary to sustainable employment Grant Performance duties:
  • Works with Grant and Sponsored Programs (OGSP) staff and Business Office staff to monitor the progress of grant-funded projects to include goals, objectives, outcomes, deliverables, and all other contract terms through regular communication, meetings, evaluation and corrective action.
  • Research institutional and funding agency’s policies to ensure implementation and budgets are in compliance.
  • Facilitate a culture of grant development by coordinating and facilitating professional development for principal investigators and grant-funded university personnel. 4. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Education, Business or related field
  • Experience in grant management or compliance and monitoring.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills
