Summary of Job Duties:

The research and extension grant project manager will oversee administrative tasks, communicate with project teams, stakeholders, and the public, complete annual written and budget reports, and organize annual team meetings and other meetings associated with the projects. The project manager will assist in the laboratory and field with horticulture related project, help other staff and students with research and extension activities, create reports, and create reports, presentations, and scientific publications. This position requires 2-4 years prior experience working with a diverse set of university partners (faculty, staff, and students), industry stakeholders, and the community, preferably in agricultural sciences. Experience in accounting, reporting, budgeting, and procurement are preferred. Preferred are candidates with experience with WorkDay (budget and human resources tool) and REEport (grant management and reporting). Excellent attention to detail, oral, written and social communication skills are a must. Experience working with diverse partnerships to achieve project goals is highly desirable.

BS in Food Science, horticulture, agricultural communications or related field plus three years’ experience in management of grant-funded scientific projects or MS in food science, horticulture, or agricultural communications.
