JOB SALARY GRADE
Flat RatedThis position is full-time, temporary, and will end on August 19, 2025.The Grants Manager position is responsible for the full range of grants management duties to meet the North Carolina Human Trafficking Commission (HTC) goals in administering federal and state government support. The time-limited position will control application and achievement of requirements within commission issued grants for human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault. Once grants are awarded through the HTC, the position will work with an assigned number of nonprofits to ensure training and technical assistance needs are met. The position will review all agency financial/programmatic reports for accuracy and will ensure grantees are in compliance with any established requirements or reviews. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Train and provide technical assistance to eligible organizations regarding developed program guidelines and policies.
Gather, compile, and examine program data to identify program applicants’ attainment of program guidelines and eligibility for funding.
Receive and approve program and financial reports to ensure accuracy and timelessness of reporting and compliance.
Conduct risk assessments for grantees and adjusting level of monitoring or timeline of financial distribution of funding, based on agency level of risk; and conducting site visits of grantees, as part of the monitoring process.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Knowledge of:
fiscal and programmatic management of grant programs, including the ability to formulate and refine policies relating to the program and the ability to comply with all federal reporting requirements.
Skills in: writing, editing and proofreading; organization, attention to detail, and prioritization; planning, data management, and analysis; Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as CANVA; virtual platform meetings, such as WebEx; and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff from federal, state, and local agencies as well as private service providers and the general public.
Ability to:
take initiative and work independently while being comfortable with taking direction; multi-task, manage time and meet deadlines; think strategically; exercise sound judgment; and work both independently and as part of a team.
