We seeking a Director of Grants in Wayne, NY . his role will report to the Vice President of Strategic Operations and be responsible for maintaining, stewarding, and growing a diverse grant portfolio across 12 states. The Director of Grant Development drives public and private fundraising to ensure the development of critical new housing and employment support. Starting Salary:
$100,000 Responsibilities Identify, qualify, write, and submit proposals for public and private grant opportunities Maintain existing portfolio of grants through regular stewardship of funders, create reporting and renewal schedules, and develop and submit required reports and renewals Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand funding needs and goals and appropriately match needs with new and renewal funding opportunities Research, conduct outreach, and cultivate relationships with foundations and government prospects Maintain organized and thorough records of research and communication Assist in developing a corporate grant strategy that will build and improve grant partnerships with vendors, event sponsors, and employers of individuals in supported employment programs Write, edit, and produce all appropriate acknowledgement letters and tax receipts for foundation and corporate grant funders Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in writing writing-intensive field (for example: English, political science, history) required 7-10 years of grant writing and leadership experience in the healthcare or non-profit space preferred 2-3 years’ experience supervising grant writers, development assistants, or equivalent Proven track record of securing and maintaining six and seven-figure awards Experience with foundation and government grant research and writing required Exceptional project management skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong collaboration skills, ability to be assertive and follow-up both internally and externally, desire and ability to learn quickly, take on progressively greater responsibilities, and advance within a rapidly growing department and organization Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing Why Community Options?
