POSITION SUMMARY

The Grants Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of the grant lifecycle, from initial research and proposal development to data management and analysis, ongoing monitoring, billing, reporting, and closeout. Serves as a pivotal point of contact for grant-related inquiries and ensures agency and program compliance with grant guidelines and regulations. The ideal candidate is organized and meticulous, highly skilled in verbal and written communication, collaborative planning, and grant writing, while upholding the highest legal and ethical standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Grant Application Process:

    Research grant opportunities, prepare and submit applications, and track progress and outcomes.

      Proposal Development:

      Collaborate with program staff and leaders to gather information for grant proposals and ensure alignment with program and agency goals.

        Budget and Reporting:

        Develop and manage budgets, collaborate with the finance team, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with funding guidelines.

          Grant Monitoring and Compliance:

          Create and maintain systems to monitor grant funds and expenditures, ensure compliance with funding guidelines and regulations, and track deadlines.

            Reporting and Communication:

            Prepare and submit grant reports, serve as a point of contact for funders, applicants, and internal staff.

              Process Improvement:

              Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

                Collaboration:

                Work with various departments, including finance, accounting, program staff, and leadership.

                • Participate in site visits, audits, and funder meetings as needed.
                • Provide guidance and training to internal teams involved in grant preparation or implementation.
                • Promote a culture of continuous learning and grant-related best practices across departments.

                EXPERIENCE
                • Bachelor’s degree or five years’ experience in grant administrator role
                • Nonprofit funding, administration, or program development
                • Fiscal management and budgeting
                • Workflow and information systems development and maintenance
                OTHER SKILLS
                • Strong organizational and time management skills.
                • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
                • Technical and grant writing skills.
                • Knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures.
                • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
                • Familiarity with grant management software and databases.
                • Working knowledge of basic accounting and financial principles.
                • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
                • Skills in Microsoft 365 and Adobe to keep records, communicate, and organize data to support a paperless environment.

                Pay Range:

                $48,000 – $52,000/annually
