Performs nursing duties assigned to Community Health Access & Navigation in Tennessee (CHANT), ensuring service needs are met.
Pay Grade:
55 Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education This position is eligible for a
HIRING BONUS
outlined below: 1st payment of $1500 paid after completion of six (6) months of service 2nd payment of $1500 paid after completion of twelve (12) months of service 3rd payment of $2000 paid after completion of eighteen (18) months of service Minimum Qualifications 1. Three (3) years of nursing experience in a lead or supervisory capacity; AND 2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing; OR 3. One (1) year of nursing experience in a lead or supervisory capacity; AND 4. Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. 5.
PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Participates in the development of patient care priorities and quality of CHANT program, policy, procedures, and staff operations. 2. Approves and submits all billable claims for health providers and ensures pharmacy claims are billed. 3. Conducts internal audits on Children’ Special Services (CSS) program. 4. Oversees the newborn screen data. 5. Stays abreast of child health, including children with special health needs. 6. Educates, informs, and empowers patients to improve child health. 7. Monitors program activities, outcomes, and grant commitments. 8. Attends field staff meetings, trainings, home visits, community agencies, schools, and doctor offices. 9. Submits all state-mandated reports. 10. Performs other related duties as required or directed. KSAs 1. A strong understanding of public health nursing principles. 2. Knowledge of social and economic forces affecting family and group dynamics. 3. Knowledgeable about billing and the billing process. 4. Knowledge in interpreting, explaining, developing, and applying procedures. 5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 6. Ability to accurately collect data, document, and recommend solutions. 7. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) or similar County’s software applications. Special Requirements 1. Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license or secure one upon date of employment. 2. Must have daily access to an operable automobile and meet county requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment. 3. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee (Licensure application must have been submitted upon date of employment). 4. Must maintain all required certifications and licenses throughout the duration of employment. Physical Requirements Basic physical assessment course must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
