JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, responsible for accurately counting daily farebox receipts; cash, passes and tokens.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Sorts, counts, bags and tags daily cash receipts for deposit, including revenue tickets. 2. Maintains token inventory records. 3. Prepares bank deposits for pick-up by a designated security service. 4. Opens and closes money vault. 5. Wraps and bags tokens for inventory. 6. Maintains records of bent coins and mutilated currency. 7. Cleans the coin counting equipment daily. 8. Prepares daily reports. 9. Moves bags of coins in excess of 50 lbs. from the coin counting machines to a cart for removal by Armored car. 10. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. 11. Ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness. 12. Must read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures. 13. Must understand and follow all safety rules. 14. Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers and supervisors. 15. Must wear specified uniform at all times on duty. 16. Perform other duties similar in nature and level as assigned. 17. Must attend mandatory meetings, as required Skills and Abilities 1. Thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures for revenue room operations. 2. Ability to count and handle money with speed and accuracy. 3. Ability to understand oral and written instructions and follow detailed work procedures. 4. Ability to maintain accurate inventory records. 5. Ability and skill in using coin counting equipment and 10-key adding machine or calculator. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience handling money; preferably coin counting equipment. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
