Short-term Disability Job Summary:
Provide support to the Supply Chain Operations Department through cycle counting of product, ensuring inventory levels are sufficient and ordering product
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to read and write in English Courses taken in inventory control is an asset 3 – 4 years experience in similar role Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong Coordination and organizational skills Ability to work independently and be an analytical thinker Forklift certification

Excellent attendance Ability to interact with the Management Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the company’s performance Desire to learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor, and participating in production meetings A complete hands on approach is required to assist the plant in developing into a successful and profitable division of Martinrea, a multi-billion dollar company Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum direction Ability to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leader Ability to manage and direct subordinates on the day-to-day tasks in a fast paced environment Ability to mentor and guide subordinates to achieve overall departmental goals and objectives Support and contribute to the Quality Systems and Environmental Systems Requirements Respecting and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationship Adopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknesses Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition
Responsibilities:
Cycle count WIP, Finished goods and components as directed by the Inventory Control Analyst Investigate inventory discrepancies Work with production and purchasing to ensure accuracy of inventory Take leadership role in quarterly physical inventories Provide direction to other employees to ensure accurate production reporting Ensure that raw materials and product are dispersed or consumed based on FIFO Maintain a clean work area during their shift Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping Able to perform other duties as required within the department Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook Dispositions excess and obsolete inventory Develops and implements procedures to improve inventory accuracy Working Conditions Office Environment and Plant Floor (PPE required) Effort/Physical Demands Constant communication with employees, peers, and management Overtime as required Health and Safety Responsibilities Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
