Job Summary:
The Maintenance Inventory Clerk II is responsible for the operation of the maintenance stockroom. The employee performs responsible manual and clerical tasks in the receiving, storing, inventorying, and care of supplies, parts and other tools and equipment required for the maintenance department of the University. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for compliance to policy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives incoming materials, supplies, parts, and equipment purchased by the university.
Checks requisitions and packing lists for agreement.
Places items received on storage shelves and arranges items by type or category
Checks inventory levels of items to ensure that proper levels are maintained. Drives university vehicles to locations on campus to deliver materials, and to off campus locations to pick up items ordered.
Assists delivery trucks drivers in unloading materials or supplies received.
Assists the supervisor with the coordination with vendors, the delivery of all material orders placed by the Department.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma.
Some experience in stockroom work.
