Description:
The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the stockroom, including inventory control, receiving, stocking, and issuing of parts, tools, and materials used in the overhaul and repair of aircraft landing gear and associated components. The role ensures that all inventory is properly identified, tracked, and stored in accordance with FAA regulations, internal procedures, and quality standards. This position works closely with the Materials, Quality Assurance, and Production departments to ensure timely availability of required materials and strict adherence to traceability and shelf-life controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming parts, materials, and supplies. Accurately identify, label, and segregate inventory according to part numbers, job numbers, shelf life, and condition status (serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine, etc.). Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system; perform cycle counts and support full physical inventories. Ensure compliance with shelf-life tracking procedures and expiration management.
Material Issuance & Stocking:
Pull and issue parts and materials based on pick tickets, work orders, and department requests. Use weight scales, hand counters, and measuring tools to verify proper quantities. Print and affix labels according to pick tickets or technical drawings. Restock returned or unused parts and ensure bins and shelving are organized and clearly labeled.
Compliance & Quality Support:
Assist with incoming inspection and documentation of parts, tools, or materials in coordination with the Quality Assurance team. Ensure secure storage and control of parts pending inspection, rejection, or return.
Stockroom Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe stockroom and material handling area. Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or equipment issues. Ensure all tools and equipment used in the stockroom are properly stored and maintained.
Communication & Coordination:
Work closely with the Material Control Manager and Quality team to resolve inventory discrepancies or documentation issues. Support adherence to internal procedures, FAA Part 145 requirements, and audit readiness. Maintain clear communication with production leads and planners to prioritize part delivery.
General:
Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the Material Control Manager Stockroom personnel are not authorized to delegate their core responsibilities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ year of stockroom, warehouse, or inventory control experience; aerospace or FAA-regulated environment preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer skills. Ability to read and interpret pick tickets, part numbers, and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility. Regular lifting and handling of materials up to 50 lbs. Ability to use ladders, carts, and warehouse equipment safely.
