For direct access to CEMEX Career Opportunities, visit us at https://jobs.cemex.com/.Job Summary Under the direction of the Regional Procurement Manager, the Storeroom Supervisor performs the warehouses daily operations, and assures the continuity of the production process through properly handling and administrating stock materials. The Storeroom Supervisor is responsible for purchasing and receiving parts & service, in coordination with the Warehouse Clerk, to maintain accurate and adequate stock levels to support the operation.
Job Responsibilities Implement the procedure and practices established by CEMEX guidelines.
Analyze the different variables (consumption, lead time, cost, and priority) that influence the inventory parameters
Manage warehouse inventory levels and stock replacement of critical or strategic items
Promote the optimization of working capital Carry out obsolete materials by disposal/outflow Analyze and maintain reliability and service level
Coordinate the supply of goods by means of outsourcing
Support Operations on procurement of parts/ services for CAPEX and other projects Request Quotes, Negotiate Pricing & Terms, and Create POs in SAP (ERP System)
Work in coordination with the Warehouse Clerk to Order, receive, and distribute incoming warehouse parts Create Goods Receipt within SAP in accordance with the Global Procurement Policies
Research PO discrepancies and ensure vendors are paid according to terms Carry out overstock/ obsolete materials analysis annually, at minimum Perform required Cycle Counts per plan
Track monthly Consignment and work to increase levels of Consigned inventory
Support Maintenance Planner to develop the annual maintenance forecast and the annual purchasing plan Responsible for identifying duplicate parts and their re-classification
Responsible for classifying part and material descriptions
Required to comply with company safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 2 years work experience in warehouse/inventory related activities
Bachelors degree High School diploma or equivalent required
Sand Plant parts and process knowledge highly desired
Must be able to read, write, and speak English Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic Microsoft Office Knowledge (especially Excel)
Basic accounting knowledge for month-end reconciliation
Ability to carry out simple oral & written instructions and deal with simple problems from standardized situations
Basic mathematical skills, including addition and subtraction, two-digit numbers and units of measurements
Ability to read English sufficiently to be able to read all sentences
Basic English language skills to recognize words and differences between words
Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctioning and respond accordingly
High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to perform the work activities safely and productively Working Conditions Some exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures Physical Requirements Frequent sitting, standing, and walking Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
