    Position Responsibilities:
    • Acts as Supply Chain Service’s liaison and resource between Surgical Services, Central Processing Department and other hospital departments, staff members, patients, patient family, visitors and vendors Assist Central Processing with deliveries to the floors and other daily departmental operations such as; perform inventory replenishment for stock and equipment, process receipts of all supply and equipment received Performs daily inventory updates and adjustments through cycle counts and the preference list process to maintain established inventory par levels Brakes down delivered packages and verifies purchase orders against delivery slips Ensures all overnight orders are given priority and delivered promptly to the charge nurse the same day of receipt Handle medical/surgical supplies and equipment on a priority basis as specified and directed by supervisor Rotates stock ensuring that the oldest stock is next to be used and inspects for expired items and removes expired items from stock Assists in performing inventory replenishment process including the proper use of the automated inventory programs for supply replenishment, tissue and equipment tracking Reviews surgery schedule to ensure that special request items, non-stock and inventory items are available for surgical cases Prepares surgical services case carts using the preference card pick ticket Maintains MM-OR storeroom sterility, safety and security by wearing appropriate attire, not eating in work areas, and removing all trash and debris daily Participates in Supply Chain Services formal year-end physical inventories
    Requirements:

    High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience. At least one year experience in a healthcare setting, preferred. Some experience in warehouse materials handling, preferred. Some experience using an computerized inventory system preferred. Knowledge of medical/surgical products preferred.
