Position OverviewAs a Warehouse Attendant, you will perform a variety of tasks in connection with the receipt, storage and distribution of stock items. You will also receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory of all types in accordance with established systems, procedures and methods. Our Warehouse Attendants are part of a talented team that gets great tasting community coffee to our loyal customers every day!
Function Related Activities/Key ResponsibilitiesReads load reservations and customer order requests (computer generated pre-sell orders) to determine stock items to be pulled for distributionLoads or unloads items on or from trucks and other conveyorsConveys items to and from receiving, shipping and storage areasAssembles sales personnel and customer orders and requests by pulling from on-hand stock and placing in staging areasAudits picked orders for accuracy and reports discrepancies to supervisor for correctionsStacks and arranges product on palletsAssists internal customers with physically loading products on to of sales trucksAssists in weekly/monthly inventory cycle counts of warehouse/location and company vehicles by determining quantities of product on handMoves product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory.
Rotates product and arranges according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out)Receives and checks against receiving documents incoming product, ensuring proper nomenclature and product code (UPC), quantity and condition. Reports any discrepancies to the SupervisorMay be required to utilize location van to pick up product from outside vendors and deliver to warehouse/location for further processingMay be required to help maintain lawn and landscapingCompletes forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift if required by locationReplenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location dailyOccasionally required to clean and perform minor repairs to equipmentMay be required to operate industrial forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacksMay be required to maintain organization of warehouse based on WMS picking/put away strategiesMay be required to maintaining timely execution of daily receiving and shipping schedules based upon the published load boardsMay be required to utilize handheld WMS units as well as computers to execute product movement and placement according to established procedureAdditional/differential duties may be required depending on location of positionPosition RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent required.
Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalentOne year related experience preferredExperience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.
Equivalent combinations of education and experienceValid driver’s license or valid federal, state or local ID cardAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to operate forklift, hoist, welding equipment and various hand and power tools.
Familiar with industrial and mechanical terminology.
Knowledge of CFR 110, current good manufacturing practices and AIB consolidated standards for food safety.
SAP or other WMS system experience preferredSuccessful completion of pre-employment physical.
