Summary of Position:

Performs in an environment that is fast paced, involving repetitive bench or line assembly operations to assemble automotive seat units or sub-assemblies having many parts and details and where tolerances are specific or controlled by jigs and fixtures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the shipping and receiving of the logistical functions of the company Assist in the coordination of the flow of work and materials Aid in shipment schedules Confer with department group leaders to determine progress of work and completion times/dates Assist in the compilation of reports on progress of work, and inventory levels Examine contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and/or outgoing shipment Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials Monitor production flow Material handling functions as required Package finished products and prepares them for shipment Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process Ensure 5-S is adhered to properly Track parts and scrap using electronic system Follow processes and procedures associated with the Logistics/Shipping & Receiving area Write production reports if needed Performs any variety of operations within the group to maintain flow of work Perform monthly inventory counts Assists in managing the consumption/assessment of differences in actual stock quantities vs. inventory system Aid in maintaining customer and internal packaging instructions
