In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and processing donations while providing excellent customer service. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that donated items are handled with care and made available for sale in our retail space. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for helping others. Duties Greet donors warmly and assist them with the donation process. Sort and categorize donated items, ensuring quality control. Package items appropriately for display or storage. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the donation area. Assist in inventory control by tracking incoming donations and sales. Provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, answering questions and offering assistance as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the donation area. Qualifications Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations; multilingual abilities are a plus. Basic knowledge of inventory control processes. Ability to lift and move items safely, ensuring proper packaging techniques are used. A keen eye for detail to maintain cleanliness and organization in the donation area. Enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented environment while being self-motivated.
