Job Summary:

The Stockroom Representative is responsible for receivingand distributing the materials in the stockroom, compiling stock reportsand maintaining accurate counts in the inventory database.

ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS
  • Receive materials into stock and verify quantities, partnumbers and documentation accuracy
  • Prepare necessary documentation forparts and products being sent to vendors
  • Pack and prepare (box,palletize, package and load) items for shipment
  • Respond toco-worker’s requests for parts and supplies in a timely manner
  • Workwith production and purchasing to ensure inventory is at satisfactorylevels
  • Submit purchases requests to the purchasing department
  • Maintain all department equipment
  • Process daily paperwork and workorder logs
  • Issue parts and supplies to coworkers
  • Prepare bills ofladen for vendor shipments and deliveries
  • Review work orders andprepare kits for production departments
  • Organize, store and managestock located in the stockroom as well as on the production floor
  • Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates andreceipts applying signatures as appropriate
  • Undertake relevanttraining and development as required
  • Carry out requisitions within arealistic timeline ensuring that deadlines are met
ADDITIONAL JOBFUNCTIONS
  • Report and follow up on returns and credit requests withPurchasing Department
  • Deliver and pick up merchandise, parts andsupplies as needed
  • Sweep, clean and empty trash bins within thestockroom daily
  • Assist periodic physical inventory of all parts andrelated inventory
  • Assist outside sales via telephone calls, providingpart support, preparing sales orders and shipping merchandise
  • Offernew ideas to streamline departmental procedures
  • Adhere to and carryout existing work practices, procedures and policies
  • Maintainconfidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelineswhere appropriate
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmentalpolicies
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three (3) years’ inventory controlexperience

EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
