Job Summary:
As a Parts Associate, you will be responsible for managing warehousing and inventory processes, including cycle counts, receiving and shipping parts, and handling warranty work. Your expertise in automotive parts and experience with inventory management software will be crucial in supporting our operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the warehousing and inventory of heavy-duty equipment parts, ensuring accurate stock levels. Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies. Receive incoming shipments, inspect parts for quality, and update inventory records accordingly. Prepare and ship parts orders to customers and service teams, ensuring timely delivery. Assist with warranty claims and processing, ensuring compliance with company policies. Utilize basic hand tools to handle and assemble parts as necessary. Maintain organized and clean work areas to promote safety and efficiency. Provide support in addressing customer inquiries and assisting with parts identification. Use Microsoft Office Suite daily for reporting, communication, and inventory tracking. Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in automotive technology or related fields is a plus. Previous experience in a parts department or warehouse environment, preferably in heavy-duty equipment. Strong knowledge of automotive/equipment parts is highly desirable. Familiarity with inventory management software and experience in managing inventory processes. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) on a daily basis. Ability to use basic hand tools and perform minor assembly tasks. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
