Job Summary:
To assist in operating a storeroom and a par level system in a neat, efficient manner and to maintain good inventory control while supplying the hospital effectively on a day-to-day basis
Essential Functions:
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation Controls shortages of or excess inventory by spot checking inventory balances and making recommendations to increase or decrease par levels
Removes sterile supplies from stock daily which are damaged or have outdated expiration dates and disposes of according to proper policies and procedures
Prepares orders for general store inventory items
Restocks exchange carts with proper par levels daily
Pull and fills supply list accurately and timely for departments
Assures that stock is properly pulled and distributed per the correct issue unit of measure
Assures that supplies are received properly and placed in proper location with product identification stickers applied so all items have a correct charge numbers and correct item numbers assigned to them
Assists other departments within the hospital as needed in a positive and cooperative manner. 9. Assures interest in improving the department and services provided

Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, required
Experience:
Previous experience with storage and distribution of supplies and knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment is preferred
Skills:
Must be able to read and write. Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
