Temporary Agriculture Procurement Clerk – Day Shift 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 1 Cucumber Blvd, Mount Olive, NC 28365

Description:

Summary Assists in various aspects of the business including, but not limited to, data entry, crop receiving and quality, inventory and data management, raw materials counting, scale house procedures/receiving, and outside production to support the agriculture procurement department. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions Assist with raw material data entry and inventory transactions Count raw material inventory, including fresh and brined crop inventory. Assist outside production team as needed with fresh product identification, labeling, quality control, and unloading. Tally and record fresh cucumber tanking and maintain daily inventory records. Perform crop receiving/scale house duties as needed. Other Duties Occasionally maintain inventory spreadsheets and send end of shift reports. Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate. Receives written and verbal instructions on the above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor. Supervisory Responsibilities None Machines, Equipment, Tools Used Varies by job assigned. Includes, but is not limited to, computer and standard office equipment.

Physical Demands Stooping:

Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerate degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Pushing:

Using upper extremities to press against something with steady forces in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward.

Pulling:

Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Reaching:

Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Fingering:

Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

Grasping:

Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Lifting:

Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontal from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.

Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Hearing:

Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound.

Repetitive Motions:

Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Light Work:

Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform and activity such as: preparing and analyzing data figures: transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. Work Environment Works outside approximately 50-75% of working hours, subject to wide seasonal temperature variations and intermittent wetting from rain. Lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.

Requirements:

Must be 16 years of age. Ability to speak, read, and write in English required. Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of standard business software required. Math requirements include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
