PM Summary:
The contractor will be responsible for counting inventory in the warehouse. During these counts, the contractor will be responsible for researching any shortages and overages that are discovered during these counts. The contractor may also perform other tasks such as repairing / recouping damaged inventory. The contractor will also respond and research email inquiries from sales teams and purchasing teams around inventory levels and product quality. The contractor will have desk in an office space with a computer and will work in proprietary inventory software as well as basic outlook email and very basic Excel spreadsheets. This job is 30% office and 70% in the warehouse. Our warehouse has 3 different climate environments
- a•10-degree freezer, a 40-degree cooler, and an ambient dry department.
Contractor may work in any of these environments any day
- we provide cold gear for the freezer and cooler.
Responsibilities:
Count merchandise in stock and posts totals to inventory records. Compare inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory. Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Generate reports such as inventory balance or shortages. Prepare lists of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
Qualification:
Ability to count correctly, and communicate effectively in English. The ability to lift cases up to 75 pounds occasionally
- And most importantly analytical and problem-solving skills for researching. The candidate must be a team player and be willing to learn
- forklift / walkie rider experience not required but a definite plus Basic computer knowledge including Email
- Basic Excel skills
- Problem solving skills Able to work in a small team environment but capable of working with other departments to solve issues. Team player is a must
- positive attitude and willingness to help others when necessary 3 years of warehouse or distribution experience is preferred particularly in food
- retail inventory experience has worked will in the past.
Food service, grocery, have not been successful with MFG experience
