Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support inventory control activities, including shipping/receiving, storage, and distribution of goods. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and maintaining organized warehouse operations. Forklift experience is required to ensure safe and efficient material handling.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Associate will focus on inventory control while assisting in all warehouse functions such as receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect shipments according to standard procedures, ensuring items are accurately logged and placed in proper storage locations. Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with special or periodic inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory levels. Update inventory control systems and maintain accurate documentation of inventory movement. Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, and store products and materials. Ensure items are organized and stored efficiently for accessibility and accuracy. Assist with preparing shipping documentation and coordinate outgoing shipments. Identify and report inventory discrepancies and assist with reconciliation efforts. Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures for all material handling and storage activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Support procurement and other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Provide excellent customer service when handling goods or addressing inquiries related to inventory. Essential Skills /
Knowledge:
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or shipping/receiving role. Proven experience operating forklifts; valid forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with inventory control software is a plus. Strong understanding of inventory management procedures and best practices. Attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to see, talk, and hear; use hands to touch, handle, or feel. Must be able to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach lifts. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. May occasionally need to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
