• Outdoor/Warehouse Twin Village Recycling is seeking a Scale Buyer .

This position is responsible for inspecting, grading and purchasing non-ferrous materials. This is an outdoor position.

Location:

4153 Broadway, Depew, NY 14043

Pay Range :

$18 to $20 per hour

Schedule :

7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 12:00 pm every other Saturday (45 to 50 hours per week)

Job Tasks :

Interact politely and professionally with customers Place non-ferrous scrap metal on a scale Identify the grade of metal Record the weight on a touch pad computer Generate a ticket that the customer takes into the offices for payment Remove the weighed scrap from the scale Place the scrap in the appropriate areas in the warehouse for processing Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Follow prescribed safety regulations

Required Skills/Knowledge :

Good people skills, patience when dealing with challenging customers, knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, basic computer and math skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, accuracy in operation and attention to detail, forklift experience is a plus but not required. Physical requirements : Must be able to stand for long periods, lift and move heavy materials, must be willing/able to work in the elements
