Requirements:
Royal Truck & Equipment (an Alamo Group company) is accepting applications to fill a Cycle Counter position at its facility in Shoemakersville, PA. Under direct supervision, the Cycle Counter will monitor warehouse inventory and perform cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory. The Cycle Counter will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers. The selected individual will also pick, pack, and ship parts.
Cycle Counting Duties:
Assists with maintaining inventory accuracy and monthly cycle counts by conducting weekly audits of the MRD system Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports. Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors Works on projects to continuously improve visual re-order points for MRD materials Responsible for working closely with production staff to ensure non-conforming materials are identified and are accurately processed in a timely manner
Picking, Packing, and Shipping Duties:
Assessing order slips placed with a company. Promptly locating the items in order within the parts warehouse, stockroom or outside storage. Selecting appropriate packaging materials. Efficiently packing the items. Labelling the orders with delivery details. Loading the items for delivery. Managing paperwork related to the order. Maintaining inventories, counting quantities, and reporting to supervisors.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Excellent customer service skills with production operations Proficient with computers demonstrating your ability to work efficiently in the business system; EXCEL skills preferred Working in a collaborative environment while communicating effectively with supervisors and fellow employees Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) Able to work overtime and/or including weekends, as production schedules dictate
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED Knowledge of Lean Principles preferred Knowledge of “point of use” inventory, the use of “pull” systems, and NPD processes a plus
