Recruiting Solutions is seeking anInventory Clerkfor a client located in Darlington.
The inventory clerk is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory through daily inventory counts to ensure optimal stock management. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with analytical skills. This role is also responsible for finalizing and posting daily receipts ofinventory.
Duties
- Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items to ensure accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies or variances
- Use appropriate inventory management systems or tools to record and update inventory counts
- Review Bills of Lading for accuracy
- Identify any variances between bills of lading and the information put into the system by the warehouse
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of inventory control processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to established safety guidelines and protocols while handling materials
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to inventory management
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Additional education or certifications in supply chain management, logistics, accounting or related fields is a plus
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess and categorize materials based on predefined criteria
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and tools; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is beneficial
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills to conduct inventory counts and identify discrepancies
- Proficient computer skills, including spreadsheet software (e.
g., Microsoft Excel) for data entry and analysis
