Inventory Clerk Warehouse HR Generalist 453 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records through manual and electronic tracking systems. Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability and prevent overstocking or stock outs.
Stock Audits:
Conduct regular physical counts of stock to verify accuracy against system records. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
Order Processing:
Assist in the processing of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all products are properly labeled and documented.
Data Entry & Reporting:
Enter inventory data into warehouse management systems, generate reports on stock levels, and provide updates on inventory status to the supervisor or manager.
Receiving and Shipping:
Verify product shipments and receive deliveries, ensuring products match the order specifications. Coordinate the timely dispatch of goods to customers or other departments.
Stock Organization:
Ensure proper storage of inventory items in the warehouse. Optimize space and improve stock arrangement for efficient retrieval.
Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to safety procedures and warehouse protocols, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Collaboration:
Work with warehouse team members, procurement, and sales departments to meet inventory needs and resolve any inventory-related issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus. Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse operations. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Ability to lift and move heavy products as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with WMS or inventory control software like SAP, Oracle, or similar systems. Forklift certification recommended but not required. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment.
Working Conditions:
