Job Description
SUMMARY This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity. Incumbent will be responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and reflect reported inventory. Duties also include miscellaneous stores/stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis. Utilizes SAP to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity. Ensures materials are in proper locations and conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory. Opens cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weight and mark product displaying remaining product left. Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to management – publish inventory metrics. Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed and performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvement to eliminate problems. Maintain clean, organized, safe working environment with equipment and materials located in proper locations in accordance with 5S standards inside and outside of facility. EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. 1 to 3 years of factory related experience in shipping and receiving/cycle counter experience.i ca
N OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Dynamic communication / inter-personal skills. Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues. Basic computer skills. Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills.
