Inventory Cntrl Clk 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 877 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103 Inventory Control Clerk A Brief Overview Prepares, processes and maintains inventory records of materials, supplies and equipment ordered, stored and issued. What you will do Prepares, processes and maintains inventory system by entering quantity of stock received and distributed into computer system.

  • Ensures quantities entered are accurate, verifies stock numbers, sets up new stock items, and removes obsolete stock items.
  • Assists in periodic and annual inventory counts by generating count sheets, verifying quantities and researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Adjusts inventory records to agree with physical count and investigates discrepancies.
  • Transports inventory records and material to other areas of the hospital as necessary.
  • Organizes and maintains files, logs and records relating to inventory control activities for compliance and administrative purposes.
  • Sorts, codes and verifies issues, receipts and patient charges.
  • Performs data entry with necessary documentation and ensures that all issues, receipts and patient charges are processed and documented in a timely fashion.

Prepares, types and/or prints various records, reports, tabulations, listings and other information as scheduled or requested. Greets visitors and vendor representatives and answers routine questions regarding department operations. Interacts and works collaboratively with other departments, medical/hospital staff, and outside representatives or companies. Maintains positive working relationships and provides information and assistance as required. Provides research and administrative support to special projects, preparing data, reports, and follows-up on projects. Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Maintains safety and security procedures. Shares responsibilities and provides coverage for relief and absences within material management as required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Required Minimum 1 year experience Twelve (12) months of clerical or storeroom experience Required Physical Demands Standing
