This role involves handling received goods, assessing their condition, updating inventory records (WMS), and ensuring proper documentation and disposition. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Receiving:
verify, unload, organize, and store incoming shipments. Ensure the accuracy of delivery and maintain accurate inventory levels. Compare packing lists with POs to identify discrepancies.
Return Processing:
Oversee the return process from receipt to final disposition. Inspect returned items for damage, ensure proper documentation, and determine appropriate action (e.g., restock, repair, or discard).
Inventory Management:
Keep track of stock levels, update inventory records and ensure that inventory is properly labeled and stored.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Enter data into the warehouse management system (WMS) and generate reports on return trends, inventory levels, and related metrics.
Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks on returned items to assess their condition and determine if they meet company standards for restocking or repair.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other warehouse teams, customer service, and purchasing departments to address return-related issues and improve processes.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Customer Interaction:
Handle customer inquiries and concerns related to returns in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory management, returns processing, or a related warehouse role is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic office software.. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in inventory management or warehouse operations is a plus. Forklift experience and previous certification is a plus Strong understanding of inventory management software and systems
