Position Overview The Supply Technician provides support to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulation (TADSS) for the Warfighter Training & Readiness Solutions (WTRS) Contract.

Responsibilities / Duties

Prepare TADSS equipment for shipping. Schedule shipment pickup and delivery. Inventory inbound and outbound equipment. Keeps track of inventory levels to ensure that the business can meet demand without overstocking including coordinating with warehouses and using inventory management systems. Arranges the logistics of how goods are transported from suppliers to warehouses, and from warehouses to devices. Identifies and resolves any issues that arise in the supply chain process, such as delays in delivery, problems with suppliers, or production bottlenecks. Builds and maintains good relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiates contracts and maintains communication for timely delivery of goods and materials. Enter trouble tickets for equipment into on-line management information system. Maintain records of all inbound and outbound equipment. Ensures that all aspects of the supply chain comply with relevant laws and regulations, including environmental standards, safety regulations, and international trade laws. Preferred Skills/Knowledges Must have knowledge of Microsoft Applications Must be able to multi-task Must have strong customer service skills Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills Physical Demands Stand for long periods of time. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. Bend, squat, climb, and reach. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
